The Rt Hon Mark Harper MP is the Member of Parliament for the Forest of Dean.
First elected in 2005, Mark served as the Government Chief Whip from 2015-2016. Mark previously served as the Minister for Political and Constitutional Reform, Minister for Immigration and Minister for Disabled People. In 2019, Mark was a candidate for Leader of the Conservative & Unionist Party and Prime Minister.
Before entering Parliament, Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Mark is currently Chair of the South West Group of Conservative MPs and also serves as Co-Chair of Women2Win, the campaign to elect more Conservative women to Parliament.
